Will the text stay selectable?
Yes. On the Light, Recommended and Strong levels Dropkit only re-compresses images and cleans up the file structure. The Extreme level converts pages to images for the smallest possible size.
Why didn't my PDF get much smaller?
PDFs that are mostly text are already compact. The biggest savings come from PDFs with photos or scans.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Dropkit processes everything locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, which also makes it faster — there's nothing to upload or download.
